Florals for spring? Groundbreaking.
Ha! Literally every time I start wearing floral print during the spring season I think of this quote from the Devil Wears Prada.  I have not really worn florals in awhile, but with Easter last weekend I was definitely in the mood to throw them on.  I wore this outfit out to dinner on Good Friday with the fam.  This blazer is actually part of a two-piece set.  It comes with matching shorts and I can't wait to wear it together as a whole.  It's obviously not warm enough for shorts yet, so I decided to style the blazer separately.  That's the main reason why I love matching sets so much.  You are able to wear each piece together or separately giving so many different styling options.

Since some light layers are still needed, I decided to wear a thin sweater underneath the blazer.  I feel like this is such a good alternative to a button down or even a blouse.  It gives the look a different vibe. I was not initially planning to do so much pink, but since they're all different shades I feel like it worked out really well.  These pumps are from last year and I have seriously worn them so much.  A good pair of shoes can very last a long time.  I also got some new shades, finally!  I swear I have so many pairs of sunglasses, but I love my black cat eyes so much and wear them every single day.  These frames are so different from them, which I love, and they also add to my gold obsession! ;)

Hope that you are all having a great week so far.  Can't believe that tomorrow is already Friday, yay! As a quick side note, I've been making some progress with the new site design.  It's really going to be such a different feel than what it is right now.  Looking forward to finishing it up and sharing with you guys! <3

Insta Outfits

Happy Tuesday loves!  It's been awhile since I did a post on some of the outfits I have shared to Instagram.  A lot of these looks don't make it to the blog for different reasons.  Some of them I might have just taken one quick photo and for others I might have only gotten one good photo! Either way though, there's always a story behind each of them so I wanted to do a new round-up of some of the most recent ones.

This was my Easter dress and it's actually from Charlotte Russe, believe it or not.  I was hoping to find cherry blossom trees as my background and ended up finding a bunch of them in a row.  They are seriously so pretty and they definitely make me excited for this spring season. We snapped some pics in different areas and this one ended up coming out the best.  I didn't do much this Easter, but I did spend the day with my mom and of course I wanted to be wearing my Sunday best. I kept the look simple with different shades of nude. I thought it was perfect for the day.

Literally the exact moment that I sat down to shoot this look, it started raining out of nowhere.  It was so beautiful and sunny out and then all of a sudden the weather just changed completely.  I wasn't really trying to pose for this photo, it was more of a "Of course this just happened! Let's get one quick snap!" and my mom got it! I swear these things always happen to us when shooting.  There's always a bunch of obstacles. I love this photo though.  It was perfect timing to capture my initial expression. ;)

This was an outfit that I was hoping to shoot for the blog, but truthfully the photos were just not turning out the way I wanted them to.  We had issues with lighting and my shirt kept bulging out every time I moved.  We did get this one good shot though and I believe it was the very last one that my mom took.  Last time's a charm? I love button downs so much, but sometimes tucking them in can be a pain in the ass.  I do love the way this one looks with these girlfriend jeans though.  Super laid back and chic!

I went back to Garrett Mountain observation to see the view and take a quick photo for a fun campaign that I did on Instagram. I couldn't resist sitting on the ledge and getting that view behind me. For some reason it makes me feel like I am away somewhere, even though I am right in Jersey!  I obviously wear these TopShop black knee ripped jeans more than I should, but they are just too good. I love them paired with this fuzzy faux fur coat and my lace-up flats

I've got this thing for trench coats, especially oversized ones.  This was another outfit that I was hoping to shoot for the blog, but again it did not turn out the way I wanted.  It was just one of those days where truthfully I was not fully into it.  It was super windy out and we were chasing the light.  I did get at least one good pic though and wanted to share the look.  I got this trench last year from H&M and it's definitely a favorite.  I love the color paired with my leopard print pumps

Which look is your favorite?  Thanks for checking out today's post! <3

Spring Layers

What I'm Wearing
Poncho: H&M [love this] | Sweater: Forever21 | Jeans: Dynamite [old, love these]
Hat: H&M [love this one] | Shoes: Shop Sosie [similar style]

Welcome back to another Monday!  I hope that all of you had a great Easter weekend with your loved ones.  I wore and shot this outfit on the very first day of spring last week.  I got this poncho and hat at the H&M in Stockholm and wore them both together when I got back into New York.  I decided to style them together again, but this time in a completely different way.  I love the versatility of this poncho and it's such a great transitional piece to wear as we head further into the season.  It's definitely starting to warm up around here, but theres still a little bit of a chill in the air.  Something like this is perfect for lighter layers. The last time I wore this poncho was with black on black and OTK boots, but I actually prefer it with the dark denim and nude pumps.  It's a bit more chic and casual and of course the hat just pairs so well! I went back to an old favorite location to take these pics.  I remember back when I had first started blogging I used to come over to this bridge a lot and then I completely forgot about it.  The location + the outfit sort of made me feel like I was out at the ranch somewhere. lol!

On another note, it's so crazy that today everyone has been in a frenzy on instagram over this new algorithm change that is supposedly happening tomorrow.  I honestly don't know what to think of it or what to expect, I just wish that instagram would leave things alone.  I love being able to share so much with all of you on IG and it seems like this will interfere with that. This morning I had asked people to turn on my notifications so they won't miss a post, but I ended up deleting this because the more I think about it the more I realize how annoying that is.  Regardless of this change, I will still be here creating new content every day. I hope you continue to follow along on my insta adventures @natybaby!
