Love Notes From SoHo

On Sunday I went to SoHo and came across this graffiti heart wall and could not resist taking a photo (or 5).  It reminded me of Austin and all of the amazing street art that seemed to be on every corner.  In connection to my most recent Naty Grams post, where I talked about how I feel during my frequent commutes into the city, I am really focused on appreciating the good parts about it.  I am so drawn to graffiti walls, mostly because they force us to stop for a second and take notice.  Our lives are so fast paced and we are always on the go that sometimes we don't really see what is around us.  Street art tends to stop you in your tracks, it draws you in, and even if just for a second causes you to appreciate that very moment of where you are and what you are doing. Then, we want to capture it so we take a photo and then we share that photo with others. At least for me, that's what it does.  So I just wanted to share this wall and send some love notes to you all from the corner of Prince Street. <3

Jacket: Lovers & Friends / Button Down: Target / Pants: H&M (similar)
Flats: Forever21 / Bag: Prima Donna (love this one)

When I go to the city during the day just for play, I am all about comfort.  I put this look together last minute without much thought to be honest.  I was in a rush and sort of grabbed whatever I could that was in reach in hopes that something would come together.  I love this oversized button down paired with this boyfriend denim jacket.  It's got a super relaxed and casual feel when combined.  I left a few of the top buttons undone so that I could layer up my necklaces.  I typically always tuck my button down shirts in, but this time I let it hang out.  I completed the outfit with my white pointy flats that I've become kind of obsessed with.  :)

Happy Thursday everyone!  Lots of love to you all. <3

Mirrored & Caged

Outfit Details
Dress: H&M (old) / Jacket: Charlotte Russe (old, love this) / Sandals: Schutz (similar)
Bag: Apt 9 / Sunglasses: Ray-Ban (similar)

Yay for sunny days!  I was rummaging through my closet to see what I could find and came across this printed dress that I wore back in November and this moto jacket that I never wore before.  I felt like it was a good mix to put these two pieces together.  I've always been a fan of pairing faux leather jackets with dresses for a chic and edgy day or night time look.  I have been wanting to wear these nude caged sandals since I got them.  Seriously, how amazing are these?!  Schutz is definitely becoming one of my favorite shoe brands.  While they are a bit pricier, the quality and comfort is great and I know that I will be having these shoes around for awhile.  I thought that these went perfect with this look and I'm excited to finally start wearing open toed shoes again.  The only downside is having to keep up with my pedicures. [lol] I completed the outfit with these gold mirrored sunglasses for a fun and unexpected twist.  I customized them myself on the Ray-Ban site.  I didn't realize that you could actually design your own pair, which is pretty cool!  These are the Erika frames.  :)

Hope you all have a great hump day! <3

Tuxedo Dress

Sometimes a girl just needs to get a little fancy, right?  [insert girl with hand up emoji]

I was in such a slump last week, so this past weekend I decided to get all dressed up to make myself feel better.  I swear that just by doing this it instantly changed my mood.  I also haven't really done any fancy night time looks in awhile, so I figured this would be great for a post too.  I absolutely love tuxedo dresses.  I have one in black that I wore during fashion week, but never got around to shooting it for the blog.  I just recently got this white one, which is perfect for spring, and could not wait to put it on.  I didn't want to wait for a special occasion, so I just made Saturday the day and wore it to dinner.  Luckily, I did not get it dirty.  Maybe I am improving in this area. [haha]

This dress was really low and open in the front and I was not comfortable to walk around that way.  I just pinned it though and it worked perfectly.  I added these pink pumps and a pink lip for a nice pop of color and then went with this beautiful beaded clutch as the statement piece to tie this whole look together.  It was fun to do my hair in my favorite "going out" hairstyle and to play around with my makeup for a night time look.  I definitely want to wear this dress again in a different way.  If you don't have a special reason to get all dressed up, that's ok, just create your own reason. ;)

Thanks for stopping by loves, enjoy the day!
