Audrey Hepburn Vibes

As soon as I got dressed, I felt like I was channeling Audrey Hepburn.  I've always wanted to do a window shot, similar to hers from the Breakfast At Tiffanys movie (one of my favorites), so my mom suggested that we go to a café near my house (Victoria's Café) and do our own take on it.
Two things: I swear there is coffee in that cup and I drank it lol and I wish I could say this only took one shot, but it definitely took several tries to get it right. Truthfully, I prefer doing photos like this over a regular outfit shoot.  I am not a model straight out of fashion magazine in any way, shape or form, but it's fun to get creative and do something different.  I get tired of doing the same thing all the time.  I mean I do the same 5 poses over and over lol.
I'm happy we got these and wanted to share, now back to the regular shoot.  ;)

Outfit Details

Dress: Trixxi Girl / Shoes: Zara (similar) / Clutch: Tommy Hilfiger
Sunglasses: (old, H&M) / Earrings: Capwell

You can't go wrong with a LBD and a pop of red.   It's a classic combo that I don't think I will ever get tired of.  The embellishments on this dress were enough to make it more of a statement piece and I didn't have to worry about adding a necklace. :) I did the bun to keep my hair up and away from the neckline.  I wanted to keep the look somewhat simple & classic, so I barely did any accessories, just these pretty little earrings and red clutch.

 Happy Thursday!

Shades Of Pink

Happy Wednesday loves!

Awhile back, I did a lipstick post on the different colors that I frequently wore during the fall/winter.  Lately, I have been using different shades of pink to get me through the summer months.  Since #nationallipstickday was yesterday (I know, I'm late) I thought I would share 4 of those colors with you today.

Anarchy - Urban Decay (here)

This is my absolute favorite lipstick color at the moment and I continue to wear it frequently.  It's a bright fuchsia that I wear both during the day and at night.  It lasts a really long time too, which is great.  Not much feathering going on either.  I continue to prep with a lip balm first though. If you are looking for a bold pink shade, then I highly suggest giving this one a try.  It's a great compliment to many outfits.

Turn On - Urban Decay (here)

This one is more of a rosy pink, so if bright is not your thing, then this one is a great option to try.  It's a little more toned down, but still stands out.  I've started to use this a lot more lately, especially during the daytime.  It also lasts for awhile too.  I sometimes mix it with other shades as well.

Pleased As Punch - TopShop (here)

At first glance, this looks like neon pink, but when applying it goes on very sheer so it's not too much.  It's probably the sheerest shade that I have. It has an ultra moisturizing balmy finish too. This was my first time trying out lipstick from TopShop and I was pleasantly surprised.  It's a great shade for summer.

Naked - Urban Decay (here)

If you're more of a neutral girl, then this shade is for you.  It's a very light nude/pink that works for everyday use.  I tend to mix this with some of my other colors, typically the brighter ones.  It works well on it's own of course, but mixing it with brighter shades is a great way to tone them down when needed.

I would love to know if you try any of these out.
Have a great day!

Funky Florals With Nylon

Outfit Details

Shorts: Motel Rocks via Nylon (here) / Top: Cotton On (similar
Shoes: Zara (also love) / Necklace: Capwell / Bag: olivia + joy (also love)
Sunglasses: Charlotte Russe (similar

Tuesday is looking pretty bright with today's outfit!  I teamed up with Nylon Mag, who now has their own online shop, to style these neon floral print high-waisted shorts.  I'm all for floral and all for high-waist bottoms, so the two combined was a win-win for me.  They're fun and a great statement piece for the summer.  The print actually reminds me of a painting.  I paired them with this hot pink crop top that I found at Cotton On for like $10.  As my friend says, "You had me at crop top." haha Can't get enough of them!  Since the outfit itself is super bright, I tried to keep a good balance with a neutral bag and shoes.  Speaking of these shoes, I have to say how surprised I am by how comfortable they are to walk in because the heel is really high.  A few people have asked me how I am able to wear heels so often.  The secret is to always bring a pair of flats in your bag!  As much as I love my heels, there is no way that I could walk in them for hours on end everyday.  The roll up flats are the best because they can fit in almost any size bag.

Hope your day is great!

Playful Colors

Outfit Details

Top: Dynamite (here) / Skirt: Aeropostale (also love) / Shoes: Apt9 (here
Bag: Apt9 (here) / Earrings: LMae (here) / Sunglasses: Apt 9 (here)

It looks like it's going to be a colorful week here on the blog!  With July coming to a close, I really want to take advantage of these last weeks of summer.  I am definitely going to miss this weather, but I am also looking forward to fall fashion.

It's difficult for the camera to pick up on neon, so this top isn't showing it's true color in these photos.  I got it on clearance for only $10 before my Miami trip.  I love simple solid colored tops like this since they are perfect for pairing with printed pieces. Speaking of printed pieces, how cute is this skater skirt? I just can't seem to get enough of them.  They are so girly & fun for summer.   I decided to pair this outfit with these chunky heeled sandals that I got at Kohls a few weeks ago.  They're a great daytime shoe if you're looking for some height, but don't want a thin heel.  I decided to finish off the look with a high ponytail to keep it playful.

Aeropostale just launched a new campaign called AERO NOW.  In celebration they are having an in-store event today at 4pm to reveal the new collection and you will receive 30% off any single item in stores and online with promotion code THIRTY.  :)

Hope you all have a Happy Monday!

Miami Swim Week Diary

Here's my swim week recap! :) I just wanted to get it all in one post with a mix of photos & instagrams, so this is going to be a long one!

Day 1

I stayed at the Loews hotel on Collins Ave.  This was my second time there and it's definitely one of my favorite hotels in South Beach.  I was only a couple of blocks away from everything, which was perfect. The first day after checking in I grabbed some lunch, stopped by the Escape Miami party for a few and went to the Convention Center to check out some of WET Swimwear's new collection.

Airport selfie, of course.

I wore this cute two piece set from H&M and these chunky heeled sandals from Apt 9.

WET's new collection consisted of some faux leather/denim pieces.  Sexay!

After that I went back to the hotel for a quick change and headed to the LSpace & Mara Hoffman shows.  I wasn't able to get any good images myself at LSpace so below are a few from getty images.

I loved the sleek & sexy wet hairstyle that all of the models had.  LSpace teamed up with Jonathan Product Hydracurls to achieve this look.

I scored this matching set at the Zara sale!  It was the last pair of shorts too.  This jacket was one size up but I had to have it.  - Shot by Ryan Chua

I'm proud of myself because I actually took these shots myself at Mara Hoffman.  I have no idea how I did it because I got the lighting to be perfect.  This will probably never happen again lol

Such a great show!

Day 2

Sunday started off with a fun brunch at the SLS Hotel with TRESemme.   They did a braid in my hair that lasted all day and saved me from the humidity.  I need to learn how to do this on myself.

I wore a dress from Forever21 & Sandals from Apt 9. - Shot by Ryan Chua

After the brunch it was time for WET's pool party at The Delano!  I had a blast with all the girls.

With my babe Daniela

Changed into this printed romper from Forever21 and Zara shoes that I scored on Poshmark for dinner & the 6 Shore Road show.

Loved all the cutouts & fun prints!

Day 3

I had breakfast on the balcony, then laid out by the pool and went to the beach.  A fun day in the sun.  If only I was able to do this here in Jersey.

My Monica Gellar hair lol

I changed into this black romper from Forever21 and these fab Prima Donna heels for my last night.

Day 4

My last day :( After check out, I went to Lincoln Road for lunch and then straight to the airport.  Boo!

& that's a wrap on my Miami trip!  Sorry for the photo overload.  Hope you enjoyed the post!
Happy Weekend. <3
