Capwell Lookbook Shoot

Today I'm sharing some photos from a blogger lookbook shoot that I did with Capwell for their spring collection!

Photos by Lydia Hudgens

Blazer: H&M (similar) / Top:  Forever21(here)
Jeans: Aeropostale (also love) / Shoes: Charlotte Russe (black version)
Necklace (here), Earrings (here), Cuff (here): Capwell

I styled two different looks but decided to post them separately.  I wanted something chic and springy but still with somewhat of a laid back vibe.  This ended up being a last minute outfit so thankfully I brought all of these things with me to the shoot.  I love pairing menswear inspired pieces with something a little more feminine.  I think it makes a great contrast.  Every time I wear these heels, the blue suede shoes song comes to mind lol They add such a fun pop of color, especially with the white blazer.

Now let's talk about these accessories!  This lucite/chain crystal cuff makes a fab statement piece.  It took me some time to really get into the whole lucite trend, but I really like it now.  These earrings were the perfect pair, since they're also lucite and crystal.  The triangle shape adds a nice effect.  Since this was a jewelry focused shoot, why not go all out, right?  So we added this stunning white chain & rhinestone necklace in the mix.  It was a really fun day :) I'll be sharing the other look soon!

Happy humpity hump day <3

Festival Season Style With H&M

Festival season has officially begun and I've teamed up with H&M to show you my festival style for their H&M Loves Music Campaign!  I heard Coachella was amazing and there are still so many more festivals to attend.  Music & fashion definitely go hand in hand, at least for me.  If I get to attend a festival this season, I would wear something like this.

Kimono (here), Romper, Sandals (here), Bag (also love): H&M c/o
Sunglasses: Charlotte Russe / Hat: H&M (similar) / Bracelets: Alex & Ani

Being outdoors requires comfortable pieces, without a doubt.  I always think of rompers or maxis, something flowy, a hat and oversized sunnies.  Those are definite must-haves for me.  When I went to my local H&M, I tried to keep these key items in mind as I was looking around.  As soon as I saw this romper and sheer kimono, I just knew that they would pair perfectly together.  The kimono also helps me keep my shape and adds a more relaxed vibe to this look.  Now as much as I love rompers, for someone like me with the smallest bladder ever, it can be an issue at times haha

The next thing on my list was comfortable shoes.  I was looking for either a cute pair of sandals or wedges.  It's definitely not easy to be standing outside at a music festival in a pair of pumps.  As much as I love my heels, not even I could do that! So I found these sandals and had to snatch them up.  They have a tiny platform, making them the perfect pair.  I completed the look with this fringe bag that I am newly obsessed with.  Fringe pieces are also a great choice when going to a festival.  And to top off this boho-chic look, I went with my favorite hat and a side braid.  Oh, and a bright lip of course ;)

Luckily I was able to shoot this on one of our warmer days.  There ended up being a carnival at the park so I thought it made a great background for this theme.  And on another note, after having the longest blog URL everrrrr, I officially have my own domain name:!  If you still type in it will just redirect you to the .com :) Yay!

Double Floral

Happy Monday sweets. Taking it back to Cali once again!

Jacket (also love) & Pants (similar): Little Mistress c/o / Top: Target (here)
Shoes: Zara (similar) / Bag: olivia + joy / Sunglasses: Furor Moda
 Necklace: Capwell

I love a good printed set!  Unfortunately, this one is no longer available on their website :( Initially I was waiting for this to come back in February so I could have worn it during fashion week, but something happened and the shipment got delayed.  It finally came in right before my Cali trip so I was excited to wear it out there.  Since you can wear the pieces together or as separates, it leaves room for many different styling options.  I'm already thinking of other ways to wear the jacket.  It's perfect for spring!  And you all know how much I love florals ;) To edge it up, I threw on these mirrored sunglasses.  They're such a fun accessory.  And of course, I added my favorite pop of color, red.

How do you feel about printed sets?  I know that some girls think print on print is too much, but I say it's good to be bold every now and then!

Enjoy the day <3

The Perfect Fit

For today's post, I teamed up with Kohl's to give you a spring/summer bra guide.  Yes, BRAS!  As I've gotten older, I've learned the importance of choosing the right one for specific tops and dresses.  I used to always wear the same type, but not anymore.  I'm going to show you 5 different spring looks that I have recently worn and explain which bra I wore for each look and why.  It's all about finding the perfect fit

Maidenform Comfort Devotion Custom Lift (here

I couldn't wear a regular bra with this crop top because of the way the top is cut in the front.
I used to hate wearing strapless bras because I couldn't find any that still had great support.  This one offers a cup-specific lift and support with an inner silicone-lined band for a stay-in-place fit.  It also comes with adjustable straps too.  I got this in both nude and black since they will work well under anything.  So if you are looking for a new strapless bra, this is a good option to start with!

Maidenform Pure Genius Lace T-Back (here)

Initially when I got this dress I was just planning to do a strapless.  But when I came across this t-back style bra, I knew it would be a better option since it would provide extra coverage in front.  It has seamless contoured cups with very little padding and it's extremely comfortable, especially in the back.  It's a great fit too!

Simply Vera, Vera Wang The T-Shirt Bra (similar)

I heard so much talk about t-shirt bras but never thought to give one a try until recently.  Now I'm hooked! They are SO comfortable and work great with thin shirts like this one from the Peter Som x Kohls collection.  It has seamless full coverage padded cups but it doesn't look or feel bulky which I love.  It offers such a smooth silhouette. I couldn't find the one I got online, but the link above is for a similar style.

Plunging/ Smooth Back

Warners Back To Smooth Lift Wireless (here

I chose this bra for a few different reasons.  For one, it's cut low in the front making it the perfect choice for tops like this with a plunging neckline.  It's wire free which really intrigued me since all of my other bras have an underwire.  I was surprised by the support and lift it still gave me.  And the best part is the wide back.  Don't you hate when a bra gives you that "back fat"?  I know I do.  But with this bra, you no longer have to worry about that.

Simply Vera, Vera Wang Lace Microfiber Demi Bra (here)

This one works as a great every day bra.  The comfort is amazing and there is no bulk, which is why I wore mine with this white tank.  For me, it's very similar to a t-shirt bra.  This one has a low cut design with seamless cups.  Demi bras have a half cup for low coverage, medium support and extra cleavage.

80% of women are not even wearing the correct bra size, which is crazy!  Kohls offers a great measuring system in case you want to double check.  They really do have such a huge selection of bras to choose from and all at an affordable price.  I hope you liked today's post :)

Cheers to the weekend!

Shop Bras

I wore this maxi dress out to dinner in LA.  It was one of those pieces that on me, looked better in person than in pictures.  But I did get a few to share!

Maxi Dress: Lovers & Friends (here) c/o / Earrings: Daisy Gem
Ring: Capwell (here) / Shoes: Zara (similar style)

To me, this whole look has somewhat of a romantic and elegant feel.  Since I'm so petite, it's a really long maxi on me, but I liked the way that it swept the ground a little when I walked.  I know you can't see my shoes, but I put on my nude heels from Zara.  I tried to get as much height as I could.  I think the best part about this dress is the criss cross detailing.  I love when something looks one way in the front and completely different in the back.  It's a great element of surprise when you walk away ;) This color is spring perfection and definitely one of my favorites at the moment.  Because of the high neckline, I decided to do a bun and these statement earrings that I can't seem to get enough of.

Have a lovely day!

Happy hump day!  I'm feeling extra girly in today's post :)

Shirt: Peter Som x Kohls (here) c/o / Skirt: Zara (similar)
Loafers: Mandee (similar) / Clutch: N/A / Sunglasses: Charlotte Russe (here)

They say third times a charm and that's what happened with this outfit.  I initially wanted to pair it with my white pants but I didn't love the outcome.  Then, I styled it with my dark grey skinnies but I hated it even more haha Finally I decided to tuck it into this skater skirt and the rest of the look just came together.  How "j'adorable" is this top from the Peter Som x Kohls collection?  I wanted to keep the whole "cutesy" theme going so decided to ditch the heels for these comfy studded flats.  I've had them for over a year and I don't think that I ever posted them on the blog before.  Wearing flats is actually very freeing.  I instantly just want to prance around.  I know I'm weird.  But I'm determined to expand my flats collection this season!  I also like the studs & stripes combo here.  It adds a subtle edginess.  I did a little bit of matching too, with my clutch, lipstick and the heart in the shirt.  <3

Hope you have an amazing day!

A Spring Staple

Happy Tuesday dolls!  I'm taking it back to Cali again with today's outfit post.

Vest: Gentle Fawn (here) c/o / Top: The Limited / Jeans: Dittos
Shoes: Zara (also love) / Bag: Philip Lim x Target / Bracelet (here) & Ring (here): Capwell

Just like blazers, I think every woman should have a vest in her wardrobe for the spring/summer.  I love their versatility and I'm all for pieces that can be dressed up and down for the day or night.  It's all about making the most out of the items in our closets.  I got this one right before my trip and honestly had no idea what I wanted to wear it with.  Since we can only pack so much in our luggage, it can start to become a little challenging when creating outfits.  Thankfully I was staying with a friend and borrowed this top from her.  I really wanted to play up that color from the print in the vest.  I decided to keep it casual and chic by styling it with my dark skinnies.  I've already lost count of how many times I have worn these.

I've been on such a floral kick lately, but I can't seem to help it.  My next post has floral print too. Sorry in advance lol
Happy Earth Day!
