Vibrant Winter Hues

From the snow on the ground, I'm sure you can guess how cold it was outside. I swear when I first walked out of the house it was not that bad, but once we started shooting the wind came so forcefully!  It was too cold to look directly at the camera the whole time. I tried my best, but after 5 minutes I threw in the towel lol

Skirt: Furor Moda (here) c/o / Top: MNG By Mango
Jacket: Charlotte Russe (similar)/ Booties: Target (here) *on clearance
Necklace: Prima Donna c/o / Clutch: Galian/ Tights: Hanes Luxe Sheer

I was in a color blocking mood when thinking of ways to style this skater skirt.  I love the shade of blue and really wanted to create a bold look.  Blue has been such a big color trend this season.  This burnt orange top has been working it's way into my outfits many times lately.  I still can't believe I scored it for $11 on sale!  It definitely made this outfit pop so much more and I really love these two colors combined.  Truthfully, I almost went with a black top at first to do a simple black and blue look, but it was too boring.  I knew that I wanted to wear this necklace, and since it has both of these colors, it was the perfect piece.  I definitely needed to wear a jacket, so to edge this up, I added one of my favorite faux leather ones.  The studded clutch also added another element as well.  I definitely want to wear this skirt again when it gets warm!

I recently did a gift guide on Fearless Fashionista so make sure to check it out if you need some last minute ideas.  Happy Friday loves and I hope that you all have an amazing weekend!

  5. Taking pictures in the cold can definitely be a challenge. I love the richness of the colors in your skirt and shirt though!

  7. You look amazing! The orange top looks so lovely with that blue skater skirt, the jacket and clutch really give this elegant, sophisticated look a nice edge to it. Kudos to you for doing this in the cold. It's making me shiver just thinking about it! We got hit with a ton of snow these past two days, I refuse to leave the house unless I really have to, aha. :)
